Countdown to Meeting!
The committee co-chairs had our last meeting/conference call this morning. Things are pretty much in order; we are just putting the finishing touches on the last details at this point. We can’t wait for the opening reception Wednesday night, and to get the ball rolling!
If you are coming, don’t forget to sign up for the TALL Tower Tours and add your name to the wiki for the Dutch Treat Dinners, both taking place Thursday evening (and yes, you can do both!).
Over 40 people have posted their name to the Looks Who’s Coming page. Have you added yours?
Finally, we are looking for a few people to blog about the conference here on this blog. Think of it as an opportunity to try out this blogging thing if you haven’t done so before! If you are interested in giving it a try, please contact me directly.
Cheers!
Connie

Dutch Treat Dinners @ NE2007, Thursday October 18th
Don’t know where to eat dinner Thursday night? Don’t know who to go with? No problem – just sign up for a dutch treat dinner. Toronto has a variety of restaurants that offer prix fixe (set price) options on their menus, so there is bound to be one which suits your taste, and your pocketbook. Choose a restaurant from the list, and sign up by either posting your name on the wiki page Dutch Treat Dinners or e-mailing your choice to Mary Saulig at msaulig@goodmans.ca
Further details will be available at the Information desk at the Conference.

Question for Torontonians / fans of Toronto
This question was posted to the wiki recently, and doesn’t have an answer yet. I could fill in my favourites, but would love to see reponses from others:
What are your favorite restaurants (of all cuisines) in the downtown, Eaton Centre and Annex areas of Toronto?
Head over to the wiki to respond now! (it’s toward the bottom of the page under “questions”).
Cheers,
Connie

Law Librarians in Medical / Healthcare Libraries
We have a law librarian coming from Brazil who works in a medical library. She has asked me to find others like her for the purposes of connecting during the conference, comparing notes, and hopefully building an on-going network.
If you are interested please drop me a line at crosbyc@weirfoulds.com . What a fantastic opportunity!
If there are others looking to connect, I encourage using the wiki - http://librarieswithoutborders.pbwiki.com
Cheers,
Connie

New Look to the Wiki
I was getting bored with our wiki so switched out the design for something a little funkier (it’s called “bamboo”). Let me know what you think! http://librarieswithoutborders.pbwiki.com/
By the way, if you have registered or are planning on registering, please add your name to the wiki so we can see who is coming. I’m excited to see how many people have done so already!
And if you don’t see a page of information that you think should be there, why not start one yourself?
Cheers,
Connie
